History and Discovery of the Ununseptium Element
The element was discovered in January 2010 by scientists working at the scientists at the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions. The scientists produced Ununseptium by bombarding atoms of berkelium-249 with ions of calcium-48.

Uses
Ununseptium currently has no uses outside of basic scientific research.
